Our history and journey
A journey through computing, entrepreneurship, travel services and modern software development.
Our journey
From computing roots to software, automation and AI
FJ has grown in stages. Each one built on what came before, and each one is still part of what we do today.
- Stage 1
Technology roots
The professional technology experience behind FJ Canada spans more than three decades. The founder’s work in computing began before the establishment of the present corporation, including experience with early PC operating systems, DOS, Windows, hardware configuration, troubleshooting and the growing use of computer networks.
FJ Micro Computercentre was established in Canada in 1997 as a sole proprietorship, reflecting an early commitment to technology services and practical computing solutions. This professional and entrepreneurial experience forms part of the foundation for today’s FJ Micro Technologies.
- Stage 2
Establishing the corporate business
2184689 Ontario Inc. was established in 2008, and FJ Travels & Tours has continued under the corporation since then, serving customers with air travel, holidays and specialized travel arrangements. Today every FJ operation runs under this one corporation. Customer service, supplier coordination and day-to-day business operations created practical requirements that would later influence the company’s software projects.
- Stage 3
From operational challenges to software solutions
Experience managing customers, inquiries, bookings and communications informed the development of internal business tools. The technology portfolio has expanded to include FJ CRM, PBX and PhonePad capabilities, messaging and marketing workflows, and additional application concepts.
- Stage 4
The next chapter: software, automation and AI
FJ Micro Technologies is focused on custom applications, requirements analysis and SRS, integrations, enterprise communications and AI-assisted workflows. The company’s Procurement function seeks appropriate technology projects and partnerships in Canada and the United States.
